The US Open features two weeks of thrilling tennis action at Flushing Meadows, home to the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Founded in 1881, the US Open is one of four Grand Slam tournaments, offering men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
2025 will see a new US Open schedule with the main draw opening on a Sunday for the first time, with round 1 now spreading over three days (Sunday-Tuesday). However, other rounds of the tournament remain unchanged.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, the official ticketing partner of the US Open, and through resale sites such as Stubhub. The resale market is often volatile and prices can fluctuate dramatically over the course of the summer as fans try to secure tickets for their preferred sessions. It is recommended that fans check ticket availability on a frequent basis, especially in the days leading up to the event and early afternoon on the day that their desired sessions are scheduled.
During Fan Week, which features six days of free grounds admission before the start of the main tournament, there will be a number of qualifying matches and other fan events. In addition, players will be using a new rule for matches during the US Open: short sets (maximum of five games), no-advantage scoring at deuce and a 10-point match tiebreak for early rounds.
There are three British players with direct entry into the women’s draw: Emma Raducanu, Katie Boulter and Sonay Kartal. All have been in decent form this year, with Raducanu and Boulter both reaching quarter-finals at the Miami and HSBC Championships respectively.
