A few things are consistent in fantasy football every year, like a need for healthy players and the importance of proper roster construction. That’s why it is always wise to build your squad with a strong foundation of rookies. Last season continued a blossoming trend of rookie relevance, with three rookie wide receivers, two rookie quarterbacks and a rookie tight end finishing in the top-12 at their positions in their first year.
This year, look for rookies like Ricky Pearsall, Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton and TreVeyon Henderson to make an impact in the early rounds. Wide receivers Emeka Egbuka, Cam Skattebo and Tyler Warren could also see value later in the draft.
The New York Jets added a plug-and-play tackle to play opposite Olu Fashanu in Round 1. They also added depth to the interior of their line by taking Texas guard Jared Membou in the second round. With him and Joe Tippmann at center, Alijah Vera-Tucker at guard and John Simpson at guard, the Jets should have a dominant offensive line this season.
