The first round of the 2025 NFL draft saw several trades and some surprising selections. Cam Ward, the top-rated player in the class, was taken at No. 1 by the Tennessee Titans, who needed an upgrade at quarterback. Ward has a big arm and a confident demeanor that should help him excel in the league.
Cleveland dropped back three spots in the Hunter deal but still ended up with a high-risk/high-reward player. Carter has a lot of potential in the NFL as an outside cornerback and pass rusher. His 4.28 40-yard time at the combine was the best among any cornerback and he’s an athletic playmaker who can run and cover.
After trading right tackle Jordan Williams, the Eagles went all-in at offensive line with Campbell. He’s a massive body that will provide the team with much-needed interior push.
Graham isn’t a flashy player but his strength, quickness and background as a wrestler enable him to maximize his leverage. As offenses become more lateral, these inside linebackers are becoming increasingly important and Graham’s presence in early mock drafts isn’t a fluke.
